Amtrak Routes

The Department of Transportation Illinois installed a new route for Amtrak to Chicago, Dubuque and the City of Freeport is still on the list of stops on the new line. On the other hand, landslides on several Amtrak routes from Vancouver, British Columbia led in Portland, the cancellation of all trains between the two cities until Tuesday morning.

    The construction of parts of the new road will begin in 2011 and passenger trains are likely to travel the city in early 2014 Pretzel. IDOT spokesman Guy Tridgell has released the concerns Monday confirmed that Freeport is indeed a stop on the route from Chicago to Dubuque.
