Stephanie Gilmore

World Champion Surfer Stephanie Gilmore's voice will not be beaten by a beating with an iron bar.
The queen of the waves is determined from the terrible ordeal to rest Monday night in his quest for a world title in a row continued.
"I have to work on something else but it will not hurt my confidence," he said.
Shock Gilmore put a brave smile yesterday after the release.
She said she would be out of the water for up to six weeks.
She leaned to comment on the attack, but said it would happen.

"It's just a small scratch on the head and a broken wrist. Thanks to my family and friends and all those who supported me. I'm glad that everything is OK."
Gilmore said the attack does not stop his training for the 2011 season, which opens with the Roxy Pro at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast would be in February.

Dane Pioli said neighbor, he heard a cry in the garage of the house Tweed Heads and went to investigate.
He and some neighbors chased someone driving cycle, and found a man in the bushes on the road.
"We have a spotlight shone on him and took a photo, and it was back to Steph, who was confirmed to him," said Pioli.
Gilmore, who was shot twice in the head with an iron bar and suffered a broken wrist, concussion and lacerations to the head.
A man, 26, who as homeless, was charged with numerous offenses, including assault with intent, grievous bodily polluter pays principle.
He was refused bail and will be back in court 10th January.
Gilmore, 22, was this year's first surfers, male or female to win four world titles in as many attempts. She also won a third straight Triple Crown of Surfing history under a fortnight, Hawaii.
The attack on the continuation of the horror year for the global surf community.
In early November was American superstar Andy Irons dead in his hotel room in the United States. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Irons, who had many followers in the Gold Coast, was a close friendship with Australia's former world champion Mark Occhilupo, Joel Parkinson and ironman Wes Berg.
