Adding a sense of community is the key to the NHL Winter Classic 2011, the charitable foundation of the Hall of Fame Pat LaFontaine has worked with the NHL, a "Heritage Room" at Children's Hospital to build Pittsburgh.
Lafontaine charity raises partner in value (CIC), funds and creates interactive game rooms in children's hospitals in North America. On the eve of the Winter Classic, Lafontaine, NHL Chief Operating Officer John Collins, chairman of the Children's Hospital Foundation President Dave Gessner and Christopher Soltész Penguins announce details of the last room of the CIC. The "inheritance" is designed, innovative communication tools that children can communicate with their schools, families and friends during a hospital stay will be used.
"The room has all the fun aspects of love for children," said Lafontaine, a former star center with the Islanders, Rangers and Sabres, FanHouse. "But we also have a Smart Board and many tools are like children closer to home and closer to their schools."
