World Junior Hockey Tournament 2011

Everyone speaks of revenge between Canada and the United States fit into the progress of the World Junior Hockey Championship, but coach Dave Cameron team does not want the Americans at this time.
"Do not get ahead of us here and anoint a final United States and Canada," said San Miguel coach Mississauga Major League Baseball, served as an assistant in 2009 and medal last year, the team the gold medal in the team silver. "We are slowing down.
"We have many good teams have to play before, so I'm not very happy in the U.S. and talk to us, and blah, blah, blah. We have much work to do before you arrive."
Russia begins on Sunday afternoon (16:00 EST), which Canada plays on the opening day of competition at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York, which is probably a large contingent of fans around the Canuck border.
The tournament officially known as the IIHF U-20 Championship has become a holiday period as a basis for Canadian hockey fans.
It was then that an American team soon finished the race five golden years of Canadian and junior defender John Carlson, now with the Washington Capitals, scored the goal for the U.S. after two goals in the Jordan Eberle last the game and forced overtime tied .
With eight players returning from last year's team, including goalie Jack Campbell, scored the U.S. bettors just before a Canadian team has only four returnees - and defenses Scena center Brayden Ryan Ellis, Jared Cowen and Calvin de Haan.
The Americans are fixed on finding a hole in the world junior record - that the event has four times assumed, but never won a medal of any kind on the ice, while Canada the gold United States won in 1982, 1996 and 2005.
The North American rivals are in different groups in the preliminary round at the moment and not in the medal round.
This time, Canada is in the toughest of the two groups in Russia, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Norway. The Americans open against Finland on Sunday, then play the Slovak Republic, Germany and Switzerland.
However, the Canadians the most difficult competition is a good thing.
"This is an advantage for us," said chief scout Kevin Prendergast. "Last year we end up with too many easy games and then, when she had to go, not that they are not ready for it, but things quickly began to crumble.
"If we get on the right foot, I'm sure it would be a springboard for us."
Added Scena. "Last year was not so good for our team that we beat teams of 8-1 and 1.10 this year, with Sweden, the Czech Republic, Russia and Norway in the pool, that's three very good games, we are preparing for the finals. "
Russia recorded a 4-2 in an exhibition series against Team All-Canadian Junior Football League this season and several players returning from last year, including the right of Vladimir Tarasenko, a first-round pick St. Louis Blues, who regularly in the KHL plays in Novosibirsk.
The Swedes have no talent as Magnus Pääjärvi, and Oliver Ekman Larsson Mathias Tedenby, but two of the top prospects for 2011 NHL draft - Gabriel Adam Landeskog and Larsson. He also received a boost when Robin Lehner Ottawa released the goalkeeper for the junior team.
"We have this team has the best chance to win (Canada, USA and Russia) in a small way," said Swedish coach Roger Rönnberg. "If we follow our game plan, we believe we can control these devices, of course.
"We have respect for Canada, but also the feeling that we play a way that the image can control the game and can help us win."
Sweden expect the players to do just that.
"Go for gold," said Landeskog. "Nothing else is acceptable to us."
The Canadian team is without seven players still eligible for the tournament instead of their NHL teams, including stars like Taylor Hall, Evander Kane, Matt Duchene and Jeff Skinner, while the Americans lost only rear Cam Fowler now with the Anaheim Ducks.
Star for Canada
So far in Canada as a bit of a mystery.
Cameron and Prendergast spoke of a "blue collar" team that is balanced in the absence of stars such as Halle score announced last year, John Tavares in 2009 or Sidney Crosby in 2005, has scoring and playing solid team.
You do not have the offensive weapons of minor leagues, especially Schennen, back after a season with the Los Angeles Kings showed robust striker Jaden Schwartz of the fourth round draft Ryan Johansen robust, end Zack Kassian and better striking scorer Luis Leblanc and Cody Eakin .
Ellis, who anchors the power play is back for the World Junior Championships for the third time in a team with many great men of the defense, including Cowen and the third overall pick Erik Gudbranson.
The goalkeeper is an unknown factor, but Olivier Roy and Mark Visentin have been times, both in the game before the tournament.
"Underdog" is a compromise, Cameron said of his team. "That the United States, against the defending champions have a lot of players back, yes, but we do not need to see that.
"Each of these tournaments is unique. We are convinced that it is a very good hockey team and we will do our best to recover the darndest gold."
Ellis added: "There are some very good players, a lot of people with a lot of points in the league will be a different team than last year, but guests should .."
No one wants another chance to the Americans more than the veterans of the Windsor Spitfires.
"If we are lucky to play with them would be enormous," he said. "Obviously, we want revenge.
"It was very moving. We lost in overtime lost in a big tournament was heartbreaking. Now that we have a second chance we have our eyes on them, but we can all look team. If the rematch happens, it will a great game. "
