Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel, who missed the game last week after an appendectomy, was classified as active crucial game on Sunday against the Rams in St. Louis.
It was not immediately clear if Cassel, leaders' regular players, the game will start at center, or backup Brodie Croyle.
Chiefs third quarter Tyler Palko inactive.
The Chiefs (8-5) beat the Rams must stay alone in first place in the AFC West. The coach Todd Haley said that the decision between Kassel and Croyle probably only shortly before the game.
Reporters saw at the beginning of practice Friday, said he was Cassel throws the ball with more speed and seemed to do more with the offense in practice.
Cassel was lost last week against the Chargers, while the brains behind Croyle, had one of his worst offensive projections and never lost 31-0 to San Diego.
