Hair Salons

Beauty Salons unknowingly poisoning. Some Hair relaxing in Canada were sold formaldehyde levels several times the level allowed in the country, said Health Canada.

    Officials said Friday the hair care customers of eye irritation, nose and sore throat andrespiratory have complained the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported. There was a report of hair loss.

    The symptoms were found used with relaxing and softening of salons. The products are usually sold at retail.

    "Health Canada considers that the reactions of formaldehyde in aerosol during the blow drying and flat ironing stages of the treatment causes, " the agency said on its website. "Any procedure that contain formaldehyde over permissible limits more customers and stylists are most at risk."

    Under Canadian rules straightener formaldehyde must not exceed 0.2 percent. Tests found that certain brands to a maximum of 7 percent.

    CBC reported the other day that some products sold in Canada, has been banned in other countries.
