The latest Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) offering in Tampines, called Centrale 8, has hit a record of $880,000 for a 5-bedder. That’s the most expensive unit of the 708 units. In fact, for 5-bedders alone, prices start from a whopping $685,000! Wow! And it only has an area of 1,162 sqft.
While smaller than the usual 5-bedroom units, many have said that the units are better designed, hence the pricing. Centrale 8, located within a few minutes’ walk to Tampines central, already saw 300 couples at its launch yesterday.
Anyway, the prices are not final. Developers have said that the final price will be revealed in July, when all applications have been received. But with plans to remake Tampines into a lifestyle hub, it really is no wonder that prices for Centrale 8 are so high.
