Medical reports reveal that world No.1 player Rafael Nadal’s left leg injury is not at all serious. The Spaniard is to play against the American player Mardy Fish in quarterfinals of Wimbledon 2011 at the All England Club.

Nadal’s return may be an unhappy news for British tennis fans. The fourth seeded local boy Andy Murray was having a chance to walk into the finals of the Wimbledon without a test from the world No. 1 Nadal.

If Murray can make a victory in the quarterfinals over the Spaniard Feliciano Lopez on Wednesday, in the semifinals Mardy Fish may not at all be a challenge for the crowd favorite.

But with the Nadal’s decision to play in the tournament, it is almost sure he will conquer Fish and land in the semifinals. A Rafael Nadal Vs Andy Murray clash may not be something great for the English fans.

Nadal has suffered some injury for his left leg while taking on the Argentinean player Juan Martin Del Potro. Though winning the game, Nadal said he could not be able to continue in the tournament because he thought it was a critical injury. But an MRI scan revealed no injury for the player.

“During the match I thought I had something serious -- but as the match went on the pain got better and thankfully the tests don't show an injury. I will practice today and I will play tomorrow -- thank you all for the support,” said the Spaniard.
