Cheap AirLine Tickets


Sky mile accounts are personal numbers, but that's what good friends are for. And in the spirit of giving and saving money, one of the better ways to get a cheap plane ticket right now is to borrow sky miles or frequent flyer miles. Travelers enter frequent flyer or sky mile account numbers during ticket purchase check out.

It really doesn't matter what discount air flight company you contact right now, Orbitz, Kayak, Bing, cheapflights, whoever. They will all tell you it's peak travel season right now and that ticket prices are more or less pretty steep. Hotel discounts are a better bet, although over the July 4th weekend, hotel prices, air fare, car rentals and gas prices will be higher. The best time to get tickets for summer travel is well in advance. Perhaps as far in as advance as possible in order to get the best rates.
Hotels are lowest at $143/night and the lowest round trip flight inside of the US was somewhere around $240, AAA reported. Even if you are traveling business class, there are still international lounges and waiting areas that aren't restricted to elite travelers. USA Today's George Hobica, while unable to report discounted summer airfare, did offer tips on traveling first class without first class plane tickets.
If you are looking for cheap airline tickets for fall travel, US Airways has hugely discounted tickets to Spain in October. But be wary, this fall, major airlines including Delta have announced a reduction in travel to Europe this fall.
During the Fourth of July holiday, AAA reports that travelers from New England to Texas have stayed their driving plans. Many have opted not to travel during the Fourth of July and have cited high gas costs as the reason.
