In a bid to increase accessibility across Singapore, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has revealed the sites for new train stations along the Thomson Line (TSL) and Rapid Transit System (RTS).
TSL will connect Northern and Southern Singapore, while the RTS will ease causeway congestion as it will link Woodlands and some parts of Johor Baru.
We can't wait for that to happen! Wonder how the customs on both sides will work? Let's hope that no one will ask us to do naked squats.
TSL will pass through areas like Sin Ming, Thomson areas, Ang Mo Kio, all the way to Marina Bay and Woodlands.
As we’ve said, the RTS line will connect with the TSL in Woodlands, and the site for the interchange has been revealed to be near Republic Polytechnic. Also, there will be a mega-train depot at Mandai Road, which will occupy the land that Orchidville (Singapore’s largest Orchid farm) currently sits on.
Experts are already speculating that home prices around the stations, especially the interchange at Woodlands, to increase. And by approximately 5%-10%, no less.
Oh, we can expect the TSL to be up and running by around 2018.
