SummerFest

Strong thunderstorms well to our south in Illinois will brush the area with scattered showers this morning.

As the storms south weaken, southeastern Wisconsin could see a period of brief, gusty winds this morning, too. A cool front passes Monday afternoon and brings a renewed chance for rain and storms. A few of the storms may be strong this afternoon. Highs today will be in the upper 70s.

High pressure builds in for Tuesday as highs hold in the mid to upper 70s Tuesday and just a touch cooler for the Summerfest opener Wednesday.

It will stay dry through Friday with a return to heat and humidity for Thursday and Friday. It will get well into the 80s Thursday and close to 90 Friday.

A cool front Friday night may trigger a few storms for later Friday and early Saturday.

For now, the holiday weekend looks dry with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
