Actress Kate Winslet will play with Josh Brolin in a film adaptation of the erotic novel “Labor Day” by Joyce Maynard, author became famous because of the relationship that the writer had with JD Salinger when she was only 18.
The new movie project will be directed by Jason Reitman, and filming will begin in 2012, in New England, USA, informs nme.com.
Winslet will play the role of Adele, a single mother, while Brolin will play a killer released from prison who comes to live with Adele and her son, Harry. The film takes place in the United States in the early 1980s, during a summer weekend.
Reitman wrote the screenplay of Maynard’s novel, and will start filming soon, after completing his current project called “Young Adult”.
