Huda

The HUDA has decided to increase the fund allocated to RWAs for the maintenance of parks in the city.
At present, the HUDA pays Re 1 per square metre per month for the maintenance of parks. After the increase, the development body will pay Rs 1.35. HUDA sources said the hike will come into effect from next month. Gurgaon has over 350 parks in HUDA sectors and about 250 of them are maintained by the RWAs.
In a bid to encourage the RWAs to manage the parks in a better manner, the HUDA will allocate the funds directly to each residents body. Giving them the money directly gives the RWA a free hand in taking care of the parks, said a senior HUDA official.
