Tupac Shakur continues his trend of being in the news almost as much since his death as when he was alive. The latest Shakur news is a confession by Dexter Issac in which he says he was paid to rob Shakur at Quad Studio in 1994.

On Nov. 30, 1994, Shakur was robbed as he entered Quad Studio and shot five times. In a statement posted on AllHipHop.com, Isaac says James Rosemond (aka Jimmy Henchman), CEO of Czar Entertainment, hired Isaac for the robbery.
"In 1994, James Rosemond hired me to rob 2Pac Shakur at the Quad Studio. He gave me $2,500, plus all the jewelry I took, except for one ring, which he wanted for himself. It was the biggest of the two diamond rings that we took. He said he wanted to put the stone in a new setting for his girlfriend at the time, Cynthia Ried. I still have as proof the chain that we took that night in the robbery."
In the statement, Isaac writes he's coming forward because the statute of limitations has passed on the crime and because he says Rosemond named him as an informant in a federal drug case against Rosemond.
In 2008, Rosemond told MTV News he had no involvement in the 1994 robbery.
Shakur thought otherwise. On his posthumously released album, "The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory," in the song "Against All Odds," Shakur says, "And did I mention promise to pay back Jimmy Henchman in due time/ I know you b**ch n***as is listenin', the world is mine/ Set me up, wet me up, n***as stuck me up/ Heard the guns bust, but you tricks never shut me up."
The Quad shooting was the beginning of a feud between East Coast and West Coast rappers that resulted in the 1996 death of Shakur and 1997 death of Notorious B.I.G. Both killings are unsolved.
