Tan Kin Lian

Former NTUC INCOME Chief Mr Tan Kin Lian has not decided to stand for election yet despite sending his good friend Png Eng Huat to collect the forms for the certificate of eligibility for the Presidential Election this morning.
The news led to speculations that Mr Tan may be standing for the election after denying he has any intention to do so earlier.
In a posting on his blog, Mr Tan wrote:
So far only former PAP MP Dr Tan Cheng Bock and retiree Mr Ooi Boon Ewe had collected the forms. Losing PAP candidate for Aljunied GRC George Yeo is also considering if he should contest.
Mr Tan shot into prominence in 2008 by hosting a series of ‘mini-bond’ rallies at Hong Lim Park to seek redress for Singaporeans who lost their life-savings from the purchase of credit-linked products during the global financial crisis. He still holds the record for the most number of rallies held at Hong Lim Park as well as its largest turnout.
