Finnish handset-maker Nokia has introduced two dual-sim phones in the Indian market - Nokia C2-00 and Nokia X1-01. The two phones are looking to set benchmarks in the dual-sim category for more memory, better battery life and richer SIM change and entertainment features.
Nokia crossed the 500-million mobile phone manufacturing mark at its Chennai plant recently. The company, which entered India in 2006 and spent $150 million as investment on its first plant, began with producing basic handsets.
The company, which initially began with producing the basic 1100 model at the factory, currently manufactures 21 models at the plant, including QWERTY and touch models.
Nokia C2-00 is the first Dual SIM phone to have easy swap, which offers consumers the convenience of changing SIM cards without the need to turn off the phone or remove the battery.
At 32 GB, the Nokia C2-00 helps keep thousands of photos, videos and music files all the time and offers the largest expandable memory capability in its price range in the Indian market.
On the other hand, with Nokia X1-01, users can give each SIM card its own logo, music signature or ringtone - personalization features exclusive only from Nokia.
Users can store and shuffle thousands of songs with up to 16GB of microSD memory card support, create users' own favorite playlists, and play music back over a loudspeaker that is the loudest and clearest ever produced by Nokia.
All this, at very affordable prices - Nokia C2-00 at less than Rs 3,000 and Nokia X1-01 at Rs.2,000 respectively.
