Nadal vs Djokovic

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will meet in the final on Sunday from the All England Club as the top two players in the world collide.
The Championships from the All England Club will conclude on Sunday as Rafael Nadal, the world number one for one more day, will face Novak Djokovic.
For those that have not heard, Djokovic has already clinched the top ranking on tour with his semifinal victory at Wimbledon 2011 over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Even if Nadal should beat Djokovic on Sunday, the rankings on Monday would see the Serb rise to the top of men's tennis.
But while the world number one ranking is not at stake in the Wimbledon final there is still the most coveted title in all of tennis at stake, more than enough to motivate the two players.
In the final match a couple streaks will collide, neither of which can be ignored.
A streak that implies a Nadal victory in the final is his clear dominance at the All England Club as the Spaniard has won every match that he has played in since 2008.
He did miss the 2009 event however in 2008 Nadal won the Wimbledon title with a win over Roger Federer in the final. In 2010 Nadal defeated Tomas Berdych in the final and now here in 2011 Nadal is 6-0 so far in the tournament.
Having won 20 straight matches at Wimbledon it will take a special effort to stop Nadal and Djokovic probably is not the player to do it. The Serb is beatable as he dropped a match in the French Open semifinals and the current world number two is making just his first appearance in the Wimbledon championship match.
He's not as good of a grass courter as Nadal and the Spaniard is 2-0 against the Serb on the surface.
A streak in Djokovic's favor however is that entering the Wimbledon final he has become Nadal's boogeyman. Nadal has suffered four straight defeats to Djokovic so far this season and all of them in tournament finals.
Djokovic took Nadal out at Rome, Madrid, Miami, and Indian Wells, a streak of wins that has seen the Serb improve his heads up record against Nadal from 7-16 to a more respectable 11-16.
A Grand Slam final should be tough to predict in most cases however Nadal appears to be the man for the tough win. Only a year older than Djokovic, Nadal has proven himself to be a much more difficult opponent in five set matches and his 10 Grand Slams to Djokovic's two speaks for itself.
In fact, Nadal enters tomorrow's final having gone an incredible 10-2 in Grand Slam finals while Djokovic is 2-2 with one of those losses coming against Nadal at the 2010 US Open, a tournament more suited to Djokovic's skills.
Nadal's only two Grand Slam final losses did come at Wimbledon however those were before his current winning streak started and they were both against Roger Federer, understandable losses at the All England Club.
Djokovic, it could go without saying, has done well at Wimbledon this year but he has recent losses at the event to Tomas Berdych (2010), Tommy Haas (2009), and Marat Safin (2008).
The confidence has to be with Nadal with the match scheduled for Center Court on Sunday (14:00 UK time).
