Brink

Interested in trying out Splash Damage’s Brink but you don’t want to throw down the cash in order to do so? Well I have good news, then! Valve and Bethesda have kicked off a free-to-play weekend for Brink over on Steam in celebration of QuakeCon.
If you do want to try it, you’d better act fast – this is a free-to-play weekend, after all. Brink will go not-so-free once again on Sunday, August 7 at 1 PM PDT sharp. Should you actually like the game upon trying it out, the price of the title on Steam has been slashed by 50%, making it a pretty reasonable $24.99.
Brink was a game I was stoked for leading up to the release, but it ended up falling far below my expectations. The customization options are nice and the game looks quite good, but that wasn’t the problem – the game itself was the problem.
Still, I’d say it’s worth checking out if you’ve got some time to spare over the weekend. After all, it’s hard to argue with free, even if it’s temporary. To do so, boot up your Steam client or head tothis link.
