A FASCINATING insight into life behind the scenes at Highclere Castle was provided by Lord and Lady Carnarvon at a special evening sponsored by the Anton Rotary Club.
The event was held at The Hampshire Golf Club with many guests attending from various Rotary Clubs and businesses, to listen to an excellent presentation by Lord and Lady Carnarvon about Highclere Castle, and in particular, the filming of the TV series Downton Abbey.
A new series of the hugely successful programme is currently being filmed at Highclere.
The presentation also enlarged on the family history as well as the logistics of running the historic estate.
All proceeds from the evening go directly to Anton Rotary's main charity, Cystic Fibrosis, and also a number of local Andover charities to whom Anton Rotary continue to provide ongoing support.
