The Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) investigated claims the owner of a salon-style braids, the Australian actress Nicole Kidman and other celebrities.
Jonal Mr Chong, CEO of Hair Couture Chong Jonal Orchard Central, which filed the request in several ads in newspapers here last month.
Assumptions about the veracity of the allegations arose after a newspaper article to suggest that it can take a photo of the actress advertising, a list appears to be manipulated.
Mr Chong, 48, who said in London for seven years' experience, said he was chief of Ms Kidman's hair for three years. He also said the American actress Katherine Heigl and British actor Hugh Grant had been a customer.
"We fear that consumers say, through advertising, he is a celebrity stylist, if it is not, can be led astray, " said Case, the executive director Seah Seng Choon.
He pointed out that these violations are against this misleading advertising, and added that the problem would get Mr Chong contact with an official response to its request for affiliation with Ms. Kidman.
