Kuching International Airport Closed
Kuching International Airport was closed on Tuesday until further notice, said a statement by Malaysia Airports Bhd.

    It is a night of the incident on Monday when a becaused AirAsia aircraft (flight AK5218 from Kuala Lumpur), and slid overshot the target runway 25, landing at 10.02 in heavy rain.

    All passengers were evacuated from the plane.

    Efforts to remove the aircraft on Tuesday were hampered by continuing heavy rains.

    A flight was launched from the airport, flight to Kuala Lumpur MH2505.

    All AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines have been made from the airport.

    Passengers are advised the airline offices for information on flight status.
