MONDAY 17 January 2011 marks the 25th Anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr. Federal Holiday. To honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, RSVP volunteers from the North Shore invites residents of all ages "Thanks to the Troops", a free community event to write letters and drawings to our heroes overseas need a helping hand and a warm smile .
From toddlers to seniors, distinguished, the public is invited to write by Danversport Yacht Club in Danvers 10:00 to 02.00 clock stop a letter, a letter or draw a picture that will help morale and show support for our troops. Danversport Yacht Club has kindly donated the Garden Terrace Room of the event. It is expected that Congressman Tierney is the support for the efforts together. The world watches and gifts are sent to Operation Gratitude (GO) to be placed in the packages for the troops.
Robin said RSVP Director SAIP "tens of thousands of American soldiers are used by their families for long periods, often in harsh and remote regions of the world separately. The ratio of troops to their most valuable aid packages the personal letters of thanks to the American soldiers responded with the words. "Your letter has reminded tears in his eyes and me of the good things people do with your passion and you could be with a stranger as I can."
RSVP, and its sponsor, senior care, is interested in our service offering in this simple gift of kindness of the people and know how rewarding it is for all volunteers. All business cards, stationery, pens and pencils will be provided and refreshments are served. There is no charge and no reservations are necessary. SAIPEM added: "All we need is a big heart and soul."
RSVP has 770 chapters across the country, with almost 500 000 adults over 55 years of service to the community. Sponsored by the federal government through the Corporation for National and Community Service and locally by senior care, Inc., RSVP volunteers on the north coast, has 400 members who dedicate their time to the 26 nonprofit organizations in 13 towns and cites.
