Just a few months ago we reported that Jeff Conaway, star of “Grease” and “Taxi” had died at the age of 60. Now, “Grease” fans are in mourning once again.
Annette Charles was found dead in her home Wednesday. She was 63, Contactmusic reports.
Annette Charles was better known as Cha Cha, the exotic dancer who ends up dancing with Danny in “Grease.” As Cha Cha and the other characters pointed out, she was the best dancer at St. Bernadette’s with the worst reputation.
Charles’ family will be releasing a statement some time today, but a close friend disclosed, “Annette had recently started having difficulty breathing ... and when she went to the doctor she learned that she had a cancerous tumour in one of her lungs.”
Charles’s death comes only two months after her “Grease” costar Jeff Conaway was taken off life support after being found unconscious in his home.
